Doosan Infracore speeds up its ISB (Infrastructure Support Business) area by acquiring, for 2,5 million euro, German equipment manufacturer, ATL, following the take over of Moxy, Norway's ADT manufacturer. ATL, located in Lubben city, outside of Berlin, owns the source technology for warehouse and airline logistics equipment and network of 100 dealers in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. ATL achieved a turnover last year of 4,6 million euro. Warehouse equipment, ATL's main product, is very popular in handling in restricted areas as it has excellent turning radius, making it perfect for such environments. Being electrically powered machine, it has no pollution, thus ensuring suitability in most European countries. DOOSAN Infracore believes that thorough ATL acquisition, by establishing German brand, its source technology and European production site based on its existing engine & electric powered forklifts business, it can improve its brand image and enter the warehouse equipment market. DOOSAN Infracore also expects that the joint operation of the network of existing and newly acquired dealers and expanded product line up of counter balanced forklifts and warehouse equipment will enable it to cooperate with large fleet customers as a single supplier and full service contractor. They are now better placed to contribute to fast growing Eastern and whole European countries as a core product support role and its basis. It plans to increase the annual sales of ATL by 3-fold. By combining warehouse equipment with existing forklift business, the new offer can lay the foundations for the accomplishment of "Global top 5" in the forklift industry.
